The proposed site of the new Chicago Children’s Museum is Grant Park, a controversial location for the museum. Given that this museum will be a private space located within a public park, on land that was once lake, and constrained by the rule that the building must not obstruct the view of the park, we created the concept of the museum being an estuary.
